This year’s Earth Day theme is “Our Power, Our Planet”— and honestly, we couldn’t love it more.

As arborists serving the Virginia and Maryland area, we’re constantly reminded of the incredible power nature holds. Every day, we get to witness trees doing what they do best: filtering pollution from our air, stabilizing our soil with strong root systems, and creating shade that cools our neighborhoods and cuts down on energy costs. That’s not just beauty—it’s biology working hard for our communities.

But here’s the best part: we have power too.
Every time we make a conscious choice to care for our environment, we’re stepping into that power. That might look like:
