What is Powdery Mildew?

What is that white chalky substance on my plants?  Sure your toddler may have “watered” your plants with a bag of flour, but more likely it’s Powdery Mildew.  Powdery Mildew is a fungal disease that affects a wide range of plants.  It’s easy to spot with its chalky white spots, typically starting on the lower leaves and if untreated spreading throughout the plant.  Powdery Mildew is common in areas with higher humidity levels and moderate temperatures.  For a treatment plan for Powdery Mildew as well as any other fungal diseases which may be affecting your landscape, schedule a consultation with one of our ISA Certified Arborists today!
